Inside on China's Industry and Economy

With a population of 1,321,851,888, China is the country with the largest population on earth and the number The Factory of the World.
New China’s industry had little to start with. In 1949 it had accumulated only 12.4 billion Yuan in fixed assets, and industrial products were very few: the output of yarn was 327,000 tons, and that of raw coal 32 million tons. Most finished industrial products were imported at that time.
After the founding of New China in 1949 the new Government started construction on a large scale, making the country’s metallurgical, mining and energy industries, airplane and automobile industries, and also other new industries grow.
Since 1978 with China’s opening to the world, the country’s economy grew rapidly. A key person in China’s fast growing is Deng Xiao Ping, the Chinese leader that said “Let some people get rich first”. This brought the idea of privatizing business. It was a slow process but China had then finally opened to the world.
In the past few years China’s economy had recorded a huge boom. No other country had ever grown so fast ever. It is compared by many with the America of the 1920’s.
China owes its economical growth to export and large population an low labor costs.
It became “Factory of the World” as many factories and multinational companies around the world close their doors in their original countries and come to China to manufacture with much lower costs. That is why in any household on this planet, there is at least an object that has “Made in China” printed on it.

Quality of Chinese Products

This year Chinese products have started to have a very bad reputation on foreign markets. There have been many scandals involving toys, toothpaste and other products manufactured in China. Authorities in some countries affirm that Chinese products do not comply with their countries regulations and quality standards. Also there have been statements that Chinese products are manufactured with materials toxic to the human body, and that endanger health or may also cause death.
In Europe some Chinese products are forbidden to be imported like for instance cosmetics. Actually in many cases the giants of the industry in the destination countries also have to protect their market. Think what would happen to all the famous French perfume or cosmetic producers that spend tons of money on their designers, engineers and high price work force. Cheap Chinese products would beat all the competition with their low price.
What is the problem?
It is true that some Chinese Products have big quality issues, all dough they look good in the beginning. The main reason all companies outside of China are running towards China is the low price. Any business man wants to reduce his cost as low as possible, if possible to zero. In China, unlike the western world nothing has a fixed price. Quality depends on the price you are willing to pay. As cheap you want to make the product, as many manufacturing phases and as many materials are replaced to make your product at your desired price.
Who to blame?
In their rush for gold many companies that come to source from China look only at the price. On the other hand the Trading Companies in China are responsible for what is exported out of the countries. In China not everybody can do export. A company needs to have an Export permit to be able to load merchandise into a shipping container and export them towards other markets in the world. Those companies are Trading Companies. A trading company is necessary to compensate for the differences between Chinese Culture and the country the goods are exported to. As yet it is not possible for a foreign company to do business with a Chinese Factory directly, the Trading Company is supposed to handle all the process from manufacturing to exporting to sending the merchandise to the client’s door. In this whole process there are many phases that the Trading Company is responsible for. One important phase in this whole process is Quality Control and Inspection, or QC. This is vital and this decides if the merchandise passes the Quality Standards or not. Each country has its own and different Quality Standards, so the product need to comply with the targeted market’s quality and price standards. Many trading companies do not take this step seriously.
Usually the products Made in China that have quality problems are made in small illegal factories, reducing investment costs to a minimum and leaving bigger profit margins for the importer.
This is why all the TEXIN team takes Quality Control seriously. A company like us controls what merchandise is exported. We only send western Quality Control Agents to verify merchandise we send. We usually prefer to send a QC Agent which is from the country the goods need to be sent to. This helps a lot as this way the Quality Standards and Requirements can be fully respected.

Indeed some Chinese products have problems, but it all depends on a target price and the quality control. That is why TEXIN guarantees that the products delivered to you correspond to your standards and requirements, that the products are the same ones on the contract. We watch everything for you so you can distribute good quality Chinese Products, reduce your costs and be more efficient in your business.
